- On or about 15-Apr-96 05:48:24 J. Ennis typed the following words about
- "Questions about A-2000 RAM". My reply is thus...
-
- Hi J.,
-
- JE> I have an Amiga 2000 with one Meg of Chip Ram and 2 Megs of Fast ram
- JE> that is on a syquest SCSI controller. I would like more ram added to my
- JE> machine, I need about 4 more megs of FAST and 1 more MEG of CHIP. That
- JE> (of course) would mean I want a machine with 6 MEGS fast and 2 megs
- JE> chip. What cards and chips would I need to make this possible? What
- JE> should I look for? I will be purchasing the RAM this summer after
- JE> college.
-
- You need a DKB MegaChip 2000 to get 2megs of chip ram. There are any number of
- ram expansion cards available for fast ram. You could also get an accelerator
- card and then you would have 32 bit ram. That is the best way to go but it
- will cost more than a plain 16 bit ram card.
